Laying down the Gauntlet...Nuln fluff list for Ruination.

Righty,

So a lazy Sunday spent avoiding sanding plaster (oh joy!) = laying down gauntlet to all the gunline pretenders under 5 foot in height.

Everyone secretly knows that the Empire do the gunline the "best" and to prove it I present my fluffy 4000pt Nuln list:


Even in my Smack Down lists this poor guy can't find a spot :(

And, of course, this has opened the floor to anyone who can "up gunline" my attempt.

    I agree I can't match your gunline. I've got a few bows and arrows that can outrange you and a couple of trebuchets.
    So its Virtue of Noble Disdain for all my Paladins then.
    Hatred of all missile troops and war machines and no panic for 25% casualties.

      Well, since this is a "post Ogre-book" meta, I thought laying down the challenge with uber sniper set up instead of "ooo look template weapons" was more in order.

      With all the Elves running around in infantry blocks, I'd have thought that Template spam would be super happy funtimes!

      In Welly I havnt seen an increase in the number of Elvish armies...and they tend to be not very infantry friendly. I can drop mortars and rocket batteries on them + they dont particularly like helblasters!

    You take that list and I'll take my Dwarf Ambush list. I am tossing up to take it, but after two poor showings at CTA and Runefang I wasn't that keen. Still, that list wouldn't really like 70 Longbeard Rangers, 50 Miners and an Anvil, so it would be a fun game for the stunties.....

    And yes, I think Empire can take the best gunline. Noone else can fit in 5 cannons and counter-charging 1+ cav after all.

      I'm tempted to take it...but I'm sure the answer from anyone I ask to borrow the odd unit from would be "no".

    Better start microwaving those artillery dice...

    If anything is left standing after the smoke clears I will be very surprised. Is this the "leafblower" army of fantasy?

    I may have to dust off my 300 zombies and see how many you can kill :P

      Even then, I'm still a failed dwarf. Looking forward to your "triple s10 grudge thrower, triple organ gun, triple bolt thrower, triple cannon, triple flame cannon (just cos) list with anvil, engineers on all the warmachines and the token units of 20 xbows with GW to fill out the core. Oh - and dont forget the thowing axe long beard rangers! FUN O_o At least the above list still has the option of moving forward :P

      I guess I'm just bad at counting them. Also, I wish I could go for the triple of everything WM list... but that would have been vetoed so fast I couldn't even say REROLL ARTILLERY DICE fast enough.

    2 helblasters
    2 mortars
    2 steam tanks

    Simon can only bring two organ guns as they are rare and two flame cannons. So expect to see 13 war machines from him + an anvil. All rounded out with a core of crossbows and thunderers. Throwing axe longbeards is not Simon's style - they are too far forward - he would have to reach across the table and his back isn't up to it. Sorry Simon.
